The best Artisan alternative depends on whether you want one AI sales rep for outbound or a team of agents that covers sales and the rest of the business. The 10 picks are Dock, 11x, AiSDR, Amplemarket, Unify, RegieGO from Regie.ai, HubSpot's Breeze Prospecting Agent, Salesforce Agentforce, Lindy and Relevance AI. If you want another AI SDR on a sales-led contract, 11x and AiSDR are the closest swaps. If you already run HubSpot or Salesforce, their built-in agents are the easiest add. For a business that wants a sales team of agents, covering prospecting, CRM upkeep and follow-up, plus agents for marketing and operations, with a person approving every send, we think Dock is the better fit. We build Dock, so weigh our view accordingly.
Artisan is a serious company. It is a Y Combinator W24 startup that raised a $25M Series A in April 2025, best known for Ava, its AI BDR, and for its "Stop Hiring Humans" billboards. Its Artie site now says 6,000+ companies use Artisan and that it has raised $35M in total. This guide is for founders who like the idea of Ava and want to see what else is out there.

Why teams look for an Artisan alternative
Ava does one job, and does it seriously. According to Artisan's Ava page, Ava "sources leads, writes personalized emails, handles replies, and books meetings on your reps' calendars." The reasons people shop around come from Artisan's own pages.
One role, outbound. Ava is an AI BDR. Artisan's site menu describes campaigns as "Email and social on autopilot, calls queued." Its pricing page puts it plainly: "Ava emails, your reps dial." The AI dialer is a per-seat add-on for your human reps. That is a clear, focused product. It also means keeping deal records current, your marketing and your operations work sit outside Ava's job.
No public price. Every Artisan plan on the pricing page reads "Pricing scoped on your plan" with a "Talk to sales" button. The Team plan is sized for about 2,500 leads contacted a month, Scale for about 6,000, and Enterprise is custom. Artisan's FAQ says "Plans are sized to your lead volume, mailboxes, and dialer seats." You will not know your cost until after a demo.
What buyers report paying. The best public estimate we found comes from Prospeo, a data vendor that competes with Artisan, citing Vendr procurement data from six purchases: a median contract of $26,250 a year and a range of $9,248 to $57,000 a year. Treat that as a rough guide, since it comes from a competitor and a small sample.
Contracts that renew. Artisan's Terms of Service, last updated September 29, 2026, say the term is set in your Service Order and "will automatically renew for additional successive terms of the same period" unless either side gives written notice at least 30 days before it ends. Artisan can change fees for the renewal term with 45 days' notice. Purchases are "non-refundable and non-cancellable for convenience except as expressly stated in any Order Form," and there are "no refunds for partially used Services or unused credits." The same terms treat your pricing as confidential information. In 2025, TechCrunch reported that Artisan was piloting pay-per-response pricing with Paid.ai and that its contracts include break clauses. If those matter to you, get them written into your Order Form.
The data comes bundled. Artisan's data story is strong: Ava searches "250M+ verified B2B contacts across 200+ countries," adds intent signals like hiring and funding activity, and syncs both ways with Salesforce and HubSpot, per the Ava page and pricing FAQ. On data rights, the terms say you own your Customer Data, that Artisan will not use it to train models other than the one serving you unless it is anonymized or aggregated, and that it will delete or return your data within 30 days of a written request after your term ends.
The other AI employees are a separate product. Artisan's newer product, Artie, is a team of AI employees you add to Slack: Artie (Chief of Staff), a digital twin, Gilfoyle (Software Engineer), Mona (Graphic Designer), Nick (Recruiter) and Peggy (Marketer). It has its own site, its own credit-based pricing and no sales role in the lineup we saw. So a company that wants Ava for outbound and AI help for marketing or recruiting buys two Artisan products with two bills.
None of that is a flaw. It is the shape of a focused outbound product sold on an annual contract. Our guide to AI agents for business covers the other shape.
Where Dock is the better fit
These are the reasons we think Dock suits a business that wants agents covering more than outbound email.
A sales team of agents. In Dock you hire several sales agents, each with a name, a role, a reporting line and permissions. One finds and researches prospects, one keeps the CRM current, one handles follow-up, and they hand work to each other. Ava is one AI BDR, and your reps handle the calls.
Agents for the rest of the business too. The same workspace holds agents for marketing, support and operations. A Chief of Staff agent coordinates the specialists, so you manage one conversation. With Artisan, Ava covers outbound and Artie is a separate Slack product.
A person approves what goes out. Shawn Dej, CEO of YourStory AI, runs an eight-agent sales org in Dock that works 400+ schools and 150+ community colleges, and every send waits for his OK, given by text. Artisan also offers an approval mode per campaign, per its Ava page, but Ava is "Fully autonomous by default."
CRM upkeep is a job of its own. Mach9, which makes AI CAD software for DOTs and engineering firms, has a sales team in Dock that reads every recorded call and keeps 82 HubSpot deals current every hour. Artisan syncs Ava's activity to your CRM. Dock treats keeping the CRM accurate as a standing job for an agent.
Published prices, per person. Dock's pricing page lists Starter at $40, Standard at $100 and Scale at $200 per person per month, with 5, 10 or 20 always-on agents and 10,000, 20,000 or 50,000 business credits, as of November 2026. You can see the number before you talk to anyone.
The memory stays with the company. What Dock agents learn goes into the Company Brain, shared company memory that stays with the business when people move on. Agents run on the model that suits their job, from Claude, GPT, Gemini and others.
Where Dock is not the right pick
- You want a contact database bundled into one sales contract. Artisan, 11x, AiSDR and Amplemarket make a large B2B database the core of the offer. With Dock, agents use the 2,000+ platforms built in plus the data tools you connect, such as Apollo or Clay.
- You want managed sending infrastructure. Artisan and 11x set up and warm mailboxes for you as part of the plan. If deliverability is your biggest worry and you have nobody to own it, a dedicated AI SDR vendor handles more of that for you.
- You need finished compliance paperwork today. Dock is a young company and SOC 2 is in progress, with Type II not yet attested. Artisan says it is SOC 2 Type II certified, and 11x, Relevance AI and others list SOC 2 Type II as well.
- Your whole sales motion lives in Salesforce or HubSpot. The agents built into those platforms may be enough, and they keep everything in one vendor.
- You only need help writing a few emails a week. A rep tool like RegieGO or Unify costs less and asks less of you.
How we picked
We read the pages that rank for "Artisan alternatives" this week, including G2's competitor list, Artisan's own roundup and its comparison pages against 11x and AiSDR. We kept the tools a founder would realistically shortlist: dedicated AI SDRs, sales platforms with agents, the CRM vendors' own agents and general agent platforms.
Each tool was judged on five questions:
- Can you see the price before a sales call?
- How long is the commitment, and how do you get out?
- Does it bring its own contact data, or work with yours?
- Does a person approve what gets sent?
- Does it cover work beyond outbound email?
We checked every price on the vendor's own pricing page on November 3, 2026. Where a vendor publishes no price, we say so, and we only quote third-party estimates with their source. Apollo and Clay come up often in this search, and we treat them as data tools you can plug into any of these picks, not as top picks. We did not run paid trials. Prices change, so check before you buy.

1. Dock
Dock is where a business hires AI agents for real work: sales, lead generation, marketing, support and operations. Agents work on their own schedule in the cloud, always on, alongside your people in shared workspaces. Each agent has a role, a reporting line and permissions, and a Chief of Staff agent coordinates the specialists. What they learn goes into the Company Brain, so it stays with the business.
For a company comparing it with Artisan, the difference is scope. You can hire a whole sales team: an agent that prospects, an agent that keeps the CRM current, an agent that handles follow-up, and they pass work to each other. The same workspace can hold a marketing agent writing the newsletter and an operations agent chasing invoices. You can also hire ready-made specialists from the Agent Marketplace.
What it does well: covering the whole sales motion and the jobs around it, with a person approving what matters. Silvr's agents save CEO Josh Lanzet 10+ hours a week and helped double outbound prospects. Mach9's sales team in Dock reads every recorded call and keeps 82 HubSpot deals current every hour. Agents reach 2,000+ platforms built in plus the apps you connect, and they run on the model that suits their job, from Claude, GPT, Gemini and others. Our piece on hiring specialists instead of software explains the approach.
Pricing: per person per month, Starter is $40 with 5 always-on agents and 10,000 business credits, Standard is $100 with 10 agents and 20,000 credits, and Scale is $200 with 20 agents and 50,000 credits, as of November 2026. Larger companies can ask for a Custom plan. Details are on the pricing page.
Where it falls short: Dock is young. SOC 2 is in progress, and Type II is not yet attested, so if a buyer requires a completed report today, check back later. Dock also does not lead with a bundled contact database or managed mailboxes the way Artisan does. Your agents work with the data tools and sending accounts you connect.
Best for: a business that wants its pipeline, CRM and follow-up owned by a team of agents, plus agents for marketing and operations, with a person approving each send.
2. 11x
11x is Artisan's most direct rival. Its outbound product, formerly called Alice, runs prospecting, research, personalized outreach, reply handling and meeting booking. It coordinates "email, social, and our power dialer," draws on its own "database of 400M contacts" or your CRM, and builds lists from signals like funding, hiring and job changes. 11x also sells Inbound (formerly Julian), voice and chat agents for website visitors and form fills, and Expansion agents for upsell and renewals, per its site guide.
What it does well: it publishes a starting price, which most AI SDR vendors do not. Every plan includes 11x managed Gmail mailboxes with domain setup, warmup, inbox rotation and monitoring, plus two-way CRM sync and onboarding with no setup fee. Its FAQ says "Price increases at renewal are capped." Its security page cites SOC 2 Type II.
Pricing: per the Alice pricing page, as of November 2026, Growth starts at $3,750 a month, billed annually, for up to 5 end users and 2,000 new prospects a month. Pro (up to 10 users, 5,000 prospects) and Enterprise (10,000+ prospects) are custom. Annual is the default, and Pro and Enterprise offer two- and three-year terms. One oddity: the same page's FAQ says Growth "starts at $36,000 per year," while $3,750 a month comes to $45,000, so confirm the number on your quote.
Where it falls short: it is an annual commitment with a high floor, and the outbound page does not describe a review-before-send setting. Like Artisan, it covers revenue work only.
Best for: sales teams that want an AI SDR with a published starting price and managed sending, and can commit to a year.
3. AiSDR
AiSDR runs outbound through Ami, which it calls "our AI GTM agent." Ami plans campaigns, finds prospects, writes outreach and runs sequences across email and LinkedIn, with call tasks for your team, voice notes and personalized videos. It syncs two ways with HubSpot and logs to Salesforce.
What it does well: the most flexible buying model in this group. You can sign up without a credit card and only pay when a campaign launches. Your team reviews the audience and sample messages before launch, and people can take over a conversation whenever they want.
Pricing: per AiSDR's pricing page, as of November 2026, pay as you go costs $1.50 per person prospected, charged daily, with prospect search across 2B+ profiles, enrichment, warmup and a unified inbox included. Team plans for 1,000+ contacts a month are quoted by sales, "billed monthly with quarterly contracts," with annual plans 20% cheaper than quarterly. A fully managed service is $2,500 a month, and warmed-up mailboxes are $33 each.
Where it falls short: the pricing page is inconsistent on the minimum campaign cost ($7.50 in one answer, $3 in another), and Salesforce sync, LinkedIn signals and website visitor tracking sit on team plans. It is an outbound tool, so CRM upkeep and work outside sales stay with you.
Best for: founders who want to test AI outbound without an annual contract, and pay per prospect reached.
4. Amplemarket
Amplemarket calls itself an "All-in-one platform where humans and agents sell together." It combines B2B data ("200M+ verified contacts"), multichannel sequences, a parallel dialer and Duo, its layer of AI agents. Duo agents research accounts, surface buying signals like job changes and G2 reviews, draft first touches and draft replies.
What it does well: it puts people in charge of the send. Amplemarket says "Your reps review, refine, and start conversations across email, calls, and social," and for replies, "Reps review before sending." If Artisan's autonomous-by-default stance makes you nervous, this is the opposite design.
Pricing: per Amplemarket's pricing page, as of November 2026, Startup costs $600 a month on an annual term, with 2 users, 27,000 contacts, 13,500 email credits per user a year and Duo Copilot. Growth (4 users) and Elite (10 users) are custom, with Duo Voice from Growth and Duo Inbox on Elite. The page says "All plans include a free trial."
Where it falls short: it is still annual, extra users cost more, and the page does not spell out which plans include its AI Agents feature. Your reps do the sending, so it saves less time than a fully autonomous SDR.
Best for: sales teams that want data, sequences and AI prep in one tool, with reps sending every message.
5. Unify
Unify is an outbound platform built around buying signals. Its agent handles prospecting, research and engagement from one chat, and its "Plays" run playbooks automatically when signals fire, such as job changes, funding, hiring, web visits and tech stack. Sequences combine "Email, calls and social in one sequence."
What it does well: transparent, monthly pricing with real data behind it. Its pricing page lists 1.1B+ people and 65M+ companies from 40+ data sources. Credit-using actions pause when credits run out, so there are no surprise charges.
Pricing: as of November 2026, Free is $0 for up to 3 seats, Base is $20 per seat a month with 800 credits per seat, and Pro is $60 per seat a month with 2,400 credits and a 14-day free trial, all billed monthly (unifygtm.com/pricing). Business is custom and billed annually, and adds website intent signals, managed mailboxes, a power dialer and read-write CRM sync.
Where it falls short: the most useful pieces for a serious motion, like website intent, signal-triggered automations and full CRM write-back, sit on the annual Business plan. Its homepage does not describe a human review step.
Best for: teams that want signal-based outbound on a month-to-month plan.
6. RegieGO (Regie.ai)
RegieGO is Regie.ai's prospecting product for people who sell. You describe your ideal customer and get matching buyers and lists, waterfall enrichment for emails and phones, research with "why-now" signals, drafts in your voice and a parallel dialer that rings up to five lines at once. A built-in CRM is free on every plan, or you connect HubSpot or Salesforce.
What it does well: it is cheap to try and easy to leave. Pro and Team are self-serve with no contract, and you pay for enrichment only when it finds data. You send from your own Gmail or Outlook.
Pricing: as of November 2026, Free gives 250 one-time credits per person for up to 10 people. Pro is $49 a month, or $41 a month billed annually, for one person with 5,000 credits a month. Team is $150 per seat a month, or $125 billed annually, with a two-seat minimum and 15,000 credits per seat in one shared pool. Enterprise is custom and adds SOC 2 and enterprise security (regie.ai/pricing).
Where it falls short: RegieGO helps a rep do the work faster. It does not run outbound on its own the way Ava does, and paid credits do not roll over.
Best for: founding reps and small sales teams who prospect and dial themselves and want AI research and drafts.
7. HubSpot Breeze Prospecting Agent
HubSpot's prospecting agent "researches accounts, finds the right contacts, and drafts personalized outreach." It monitors buying signals, scores accounts against your ideal customer profile and can pull contacts from providers like ZoomInfo, Apollo, Surfe and Seamless. It is built into HubSpot Sales Hub.
What it does well: if your team already lives in HubSpot, there is nothing new to buy or sync. You can review and edit every AI-drafted email before it goes out, then switch to a fully autonomous mode once you trust the drafts.
Pricing: per the agent page, the agent is available on Sales Hub Starter, Professional and Enterprise, and costs $1 per lead for which it recommends outreach, paid in HubSpot Credits. The Sales Hub pricing page, as of November 2026, lists Starter from $7 to $20 per seat a month depending on billing and new-customer discounts, Professional from $90 to $100 per seat a month plus a $1,500 onboarding fee, and Enterprise at $150 per seat. Plans include 500, 3,000 or 5,000 credits a month, which do not roll over.
Where it falls short: it only makes sense inside HubSpot, and it drafts and sends emails. Data, mailboxes and anything outside the CRM are yours to sort out.
Best for: teams already on HubSpot Sales Hub that want AI prospecting without another vendor.
8. Salesforce Agentforce
Salesforce's SDR-style agent is now called Agentforce Engagement, formerly Agentforce Lead Nurturing. Per Salesforce Help, it works new or updated leads, contacts and person accounts by email, "nurturing prospects 24/7," sending tailored intro emails, following up, answering questions, booking meetings and handing qualified leads to reps.
What it does well: it lives inside Sales Cloud, so permissions and reporting follow your existing setup, and a Flow can queue specific agent emails for manual review.
Pricing: the agent is available in Lightning Experience on Enterprise, Performance and Unlimited editions "with Sales and Einstein for Sales." Per the Agentforce pricing page, as of November 2026, Flex Credits cost $500 per 100,000 credits and an Agentforce action uses 20 credits. The Agentforce add-on for Sales costs $125 per user a month with unmetered use for employees, and customer-facing conversations are $2 each. Salesforce does not list a separate SDR price.
Where it falls short: it is email only, it needs a higher Sales Cloud edition, and the total cost depends on licenses and credits you will want a Salesforce rep to model for you. It does not bring its own contact data.
Best for: Salesforce shops that want every inbound lead followed up fast, inside the CRM.
9. Lindy
Lindy is a general AI agent that works in your team's tools and Slack. Its pricing page lists inbox features like drafting replies in your voice, and links to a lead gen and outreach role page. Outside-facing actions such as sending email wait for approval, and it connects to 1,500+ integrations.
What it does well: it is quick to set up for the follow-up side of sales, like drafting replies in your voice across 2 to 5 connected inboxes, and the approval step is built in. Enterprise adds SSO, SCIM, audit logs and a signed BAA for HIPAA.
Pricing: per Lindy's pricing page, as of November 2026, Free gives $50 in credits for 7 days. Team starts at $29.99 a month per active user for 3,000 credits, with all users sharing one pool and larger credit tiers above that. Top-ups cost $10 per 1,000 credits, and monthly credits do not roll over.
Where it falls short: Lindy is one shared helper, and it does not bring contact data or run cold outbound at volume the way an AI SDR does. Every active user is billed. Our Lindy alternatives guide goes deeper.
Best for: small teams whose sales pain is inbox and follow-up more than cold outbound.
10. Relevance AI
Relevance AI sells an "AI Workforce" for companies "looking to decouple growth from headcount." You build agents and multi-agent systems with tools, triggers and evaluations, and its curated systems include a BDR agent.
What it does well: flexibility. The Enterprise plan lists unlimited agents, tools, users and workforces, 2,000+ integrations, calling and meeting agents, A/B testing and analytics, SSO, RBAC and audit logs. Its pricing FAQ says it is SOC 2 Type II compliant.
Pricing: as of November 2026, the pricing page lists one Enterprise plan with no published price. Its FAQ says "Our curated multi-agent systems like the BDR agent are available via our sales team."
Where it falls short: like Artisan, you cannot see a price without a call, and someone on your team will design and maintain the agents. Our Relevance AI alternatives post covers the tradeoffs.
Best for: larger teams with an operations or RevOps lead who wants to build a custom AI workforce.
Artisan vs Dock
Artisan sells one focused outbound product, Ava, on a quoted contract, and a separate Slack product, Artie, for other work. Dock lets a business hire a sales team of agents and agents for marketing and operations in one place, on published per-person prices.
| Artisan (Ava) | Dock | |
|---|---|---|
| What you hire | One AI BDR for outbound email and social, with calls queued for your reps | A team of agents: prospecting, CRM upkeep, follow-up, plus marketing, support and ops |
| Other roles | Artie, a separate product, with Chief of Staff, Engineer, Designer, Recruiter and Marketer roles | In the same workspace, coordinated by a Chief of Staff agent |
| Price | Not published; "Talk to sales." Prospeo cites a $26,250 median from Vendr data | $40, $100 or $200 per person a month, with 5, 10 or 20 always-on agents |
| Contract | Term set in your Order Form; auto-renews unless you give 30 days' notice; no refunds for unused credits | Published per-person plans; Custom for larger companies |
| Data | 250M+ verified B2B contacts, intent signals, Salesforce and HubSpot sync | 2,000+ platforms built in plus the apps and data tools you connect |
| Human control | Autonomous by default, with an approval mode per campaign | Roles, permissions and approvals; a person approves what matters |
| Memory | Inside Ava's campaigns and your CRM | Company Brain, shared company memory that stays with the business |
| Security | SOC 2 Type II certified, SSO/SAML, audit logs | SOC 2 in progress, Type II not yet attested |
If all you need is outbound email at volume with a database included, Ava is a strong, focused choice. If you want your pipeline, your CRM and your follow-up owned by agents who work together, plus agents for the rest of the business, we think Dock is the better fit. Our hire agents, not headcount piece explains how to start with one job.

FAQ
What is the best Artisan alternative for a business?
It depends on the job. For a business that wants a sales team of agents covering prospecting, CRM upkeep and follow-up, plus agents for marketing and operations, with a person approving each send, we think Dock is the better fit; we build Dock, so weigh that accordingly. For the closest one-for-one swap for Ava, 11x. For AI outbound without an annual contract, AiSDR.
How much does Artisan cost?
Artisan does not publish prices. Its pricing page lists Team (about 2,500 leads contacted a month), Scale (about 6,000) and Enterprise, each with "Talk to sales." Prospeo, a competing data vendor, cites Vendr data showing a median contract of $26,250 a year and a range of $9,248 to $57,000 a year.
Is Artisan free?
Artisan's Ava page says "Ava is free to start," but every paid plan on its pricing page is scoped by sales. Artisan's separate Artie product has a free plan with up to $140 in credits and a Team plan at $100 a month.
Can you cancel an Artisan contract?
Artisan's Terms of Service say the term is set in your Order Form and renews automatically for the same period unless either side gives written notice at least 30 days before it ends. Purchases are non-refundable and non-cancellable for convenience unless your Order Form says otherwise, and there are no refunds for unused credits. Ask for any break clause in writing before you sign.
Artisan vs 11x: which is better?
Both sell an AI SDR with bundled data and sending. 11x publishes a starting price, Growth from $3,750 a month billed annually for up to 5 users and 2,000 new prospects a month, and caps price increases at renewal. Artisan quotes every plan through sales. Both list SOC 2 Type II. The right pick depends on the quote you get and the channels you need.
What is the difference between Artisan and Dock?
Artisan's Ava is one AI BDR for outbound, sold on a quoted contract, with a large contact database included. Dock lets a business hire a team of agents for sales, marketing, support and operations, with roles, reporting lines, permissions and approvals, on published per-person prices from $40 a month.
What is Artie from Artisan?
Artie is Artisan's newer product: a team of AI employees you add to Slack, including a Chief of Staff, a digital twin, a software engineer, a graphic designer, a recruiter and a marketer. It is billed separately from Ava, on shared credits, starting with a free plan and a $100 a month Team plan.
