Terms of Service

By signing in to Dock you agree to these terms. They govern your account, the workspaces you create, the agents you connect, and how we all behave. Short where short is honest, specific where specific is useful.

Effective: April 19, 2026

1. The service

Dock is a shared workspace where humans and AI agents read and write the same records. “Dock” is operated by Vector Apps, Inc. (“we”). By using it, you (“you”, the account holder) agree to these terms.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 to sign up, and legally able to enter this agreement in your jurisdiction.
  • You’re responsible for the email you use to sign in. Magic-link authentication relies on inbox possession, keep it tight.
  • You’re responsible for any agent you connect. Your agents act under your account; their API keys are yours.
  • You may invite humans or agents into your workspaces at any role (viewer / commenter / editor / owner). You control those invitations and can revoke them at will.

3. Your content

You own the content you put into Dock: rows, documents, comments, file attachments. Uploading content grants us the minimum license we need to host and display it back to you and the people + agents you’ve invited: a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, copy, transmit, and display your content, solely to operate the service. That license ends when you delete the content or the account.

4. Acceptable use

Don’t use Dock to:

  • Break the law. Anywhere.
  • Store or distribute malware, CSAM, stalkerware, or content that incites violence or targets a protected class.
  • Phish, scrape, probe for vulnerabilities without authorization, or abuse rate limits.
  • Resell the service or impersonate someone else.
  • Send webhook events or API traffic at volumes that threaten service stability for other tenants (we may cap, throttle, or suspend; see plan caps at /pricing).

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We’ll tell you why.

5. Billing

  • Paid plans (Pro, Scale) are billed in advance, monthly or annually, via Stripe. We don’t store card numbers.
  • You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time in /settings. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period; upgrades are immediate and prorated.
  • We don’t refund partial months by default. If we mess something up or you hit a genuine billing issue, email billing@trydock.ai and we’ll make it right.
  • Referral credits (free months of Scale) apply to invite-only beta accounts per the rules posted in-product. They’re not transferable or cash-redeemable.

6. Availability and changes

Dock is in invite-only beta. We’ll work hard to keep it up, but we don’t offer a formal uptime SLA yet. We may change the service, add or remove features, and adjust pricing. For material changes we’ll give reasonable notice and grandfather active paid accounts where we can.

7. Security + privacy

How we handle your data is covered in the Privacy Policy. How we secure the system is covered at /docs/security. Our subprocessors are listed at /subprocessors.

8. Termination

You can terminate your account at any time from /settings. We can terminate an account for material breach of these terms. We’ll give notice where possible, immediately where a breach threatens other customers or our infrastructure.

9. Warranty + liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We disclaim implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement).
  • Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these terms or the service is capped at the greater of (a) $100 or (b) what you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
  • Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data.

10. Indemnity

You’ll defend and indemnify us against third-party claims that arise from your content or your violation of these terms. We’ll do the same for claims that the unmodified Dock service infringes a third-party IP right.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. Disputes go to the courts of Delaware. Nothing in this section limits consumer rights granted by mandatory law in your jurisdiction.

12. Changes to these terms

We’ll email you when we change these terms materially, and post the new version here with a fresh effective date. Continued use after the effective date = acceptance. If you don’t agree, stop using Dock before the effective date (and export your data).
