Dock Partners Terms

These terms govern the Dock Partners cash referral program. By signing up at trydock.ai/partners and ticking the agreement box, you agree to them.

Effective: May 9, 2026

1. The program in seven lines

1. You sign up with an email and pick a handle.
2. Your link is trydock.ai/r/{your-handle}.
3. Anyone who clicks it and signs up is attributed to you (first touch wins, 30-day cookie).
4. When that person pays Dock, you earn 10% of every payment for their first 6 months.
5. Each commission releases 14 days after the payment clears.
6. Refund inside the 14-day hold cancels the commission. Refund after the hold is on us.
7. Payouts go to your Stripe Connect account. $25 minimum; smaller balances roll forward.

2. Eligibility

Anyone with an email can join. You don't have to be a Dock customer. You can't refer yourself; the program detects self-referral at attribution time and drops it silently.

3. Attribution

Attribution is first-touch with a 30-day cookie window. If someone clicks two partners' links, the first one wins. The attribution locks at signup and cannot be transferred between partners.

Existing Dock customers who click your link are not attributable. The program is for new customer acquisition.

4. Commission

Flat 10% of the amount paid (post-discount, pre-tax) on every invoice the referred customer pays during the 6-month window from their first paid invoice. The window starts when their free first month ends and they actually pay; not when they sign up.

Annual plans paid upfront count as one commission of 10% of the annual amount, paid (after the 14-day hold) the next time the cron sweeps.

Plan changes (upgrade, downgrade) flow through the customer's next invoice and are commissioned at the then-current 10% on whatever they actually pay.

5. Payouts

Payouts run daily via Stripe Connect Express. We hold every commission for 14 days after the customer's payment clears (covers the standard refund window). After the hold, eligible commissions are batched per partner and transferred.

You need to complete Stripe Connect onboarding to receive payouts. Earnings still accrue while you're unonboarded; they release on the next sweep after onboarding completes. $25 USD minimum payout; smaller balances roll forward.

Stripe handles W-9 and W-8BEN collection at onboarding and issues 1099-NEC forms for US partners earning over $600 per calendar year. Dock collects no tax data directly.

6. Refunds

If the referred customer is refunded inside the 14-day hold, the commission is cancelled and never paid out. If the refund happens after the commission has released, we absorb the loss. We never claw back money that has already been paid to you.

7. Disclosure

You agree to disclose your partner relationship in any content promoting Dock. The FTC requires this for paid endorsements; we do not enforce client-side, but failure to disclose is your risk to manage. See ftc.gov endorsement guidelines.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate a partner account for any reason, including but not limited to: brand misalignment, abuse, fraudulent attribution, or violation of these terms. On suspension, your link returns 404, no new attributions write, and pending commissions stay pending until reactivation.

9. Privacy of referred customers

We never share a referred customer's email, name, organization, or plan with you. The dashboard surfaces them only as anonymous identifiers. This is intentional and not configurable.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will require re-acceptance before earning further commissions. Non-material edits (typos, clarifications) take effect on the date posted.
