macOS

Download the Dock desktop app for macOS. Universal binary runs natively on Apple Silicon and Intel. macOS 12+ required.

Download

Direct download:

Or via Homebrew (auto-updates with brew upgrade):

brew install --cask try-dock-ai/tap/dock

Install

  1. Open the DMG.
  2. Drag the Dock app to Applications.
  3. First launch: macOS Gatekeeper will ask to confirm. The app is signed + notarized by Vector Apps Inc.
  4. Sign in with your Dock account.

System requirements

  • macOS 12 (Monterey) or later
  • Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4) or Intel x86_64
  • ~200 MB disk space (app + cache)
  • 1 GB RAM idle, ~500 MB per open workspace tab

First-launch permissions

The app requests these macOS permissions:

  • Notifications: optional, for unread comment + mention pings.
  • Accessibility: required for global shortcuts (Cmd+Opt+Shift+D to focus the app from anywhere).

Updates

The app checks for updates on launch + every 6 hours when running. Updates download in the background and apply on next launch — never interrupting your work. See Auto-update for the full mechanism.

Uninstall

Drag Dock from Applications to Trash. Config + cache live at ~/Library/Application Support/Dock/ — remove that folder for a clean wipe. Your workspace data lives in the cloud, unaffected.
